Facebook Live Play Reading TONIGHT, 3/23 @ 7pm!

Some excellent actors will be reading my play, This Vessel Is A Fragile Thing!

TONIGHT @ 7pm, 4615 Theatre Company is hosting a live streamed reading of my play This Vessel Is A Fragile Thing on their Facebook page, which you can visit by clicking here.

Through dreams, This Vessel explores a non-binary trans person’s relationship with their body, their family, and their desire to escape the internal and external conflicts surrounding them. The first night they dream of turning into a tornado and destroying their hometown. The second night they dream of fighting in a war with their grandfather. The third night they dream of a future where they can transition into any form they choose. As the third dream progresses, it shifts, trying to please and keep them in the dream, away from the real world problems they so desperately want to avoid. I’m biased but I think it’s an interesting piece and well worth your time! It also features an ensemble of outstanding actors:

Ezra Tozian as The Body

Nicole Ruthmarie as Teen/Body’s Partner

Caro Dubberly as Kid/Body’s Sister/Lab Coat

Tom Howley as Mr. H/Body’s Grandfather/Participant

Regina Aquino as Mrs. H/Stewart/Figure

Aron Spellane as Baker/Franz/Interviewer

The piece also dives into some topics that might be a little difficult for some folx. I’ve included some content warnings below and will also post them when the reading begins. If you’d like some more info about any of these to help you decide whether this piece is for you or not, please feel free to reach out to me!

Physical and mental health (heart palpitations, gender dysphoria, fear of death)

Natural disaster (tornado in a dream)

War (unspecified, in a dream)

I hope you can attend and help us keep theatre and live performance going during this time!
