A really cool part of producing and perform my own work has been the opportunity to change it and restage it… kinda whenever I want? After continued development with Caridad Svich and the Lucille Lortel Theatre, I’ve built a new version of in a way that matters that’s a lot the same and a lot different. Like me, I guess.

It’s got a new scene, some rewriting, and has been completely restaged in my apartment (you can be nosy about what my home looks like! judge my decor! join me in my kitchen as I throw something together real quick!)

in a way that matters is a live multimedia performance about who we are, who we were, and what happens when we’re gone. It explores death acceptance and the body through personal stories, mushrooms, trans ancestors, and a dash of Hamlet.

The show itself has become a part of my death acceptance practice, and I’m grateful to continue to find meaningful ways to consider endings. Ways that feel wholly me. Like, I’m glad meditating on death for thirty minutes every day works for some people, but I need to TALK about it. And make jokes about it. And make plays about it.

I’d love for you to join me! I’m performing via YouTube Livestream on Friday, Nov 3 at 8pm Eastern and Saturday, Nov 4 at 3pm Eastern. Tickets are pay-what-you-want and ticket links are below!
